Mary Garvin is La Cochonette.

Mary was born, raised, fed and watered in Brooklyn, NYC. For the better part of the last decade she lapped up a lavish old life in London, England and previously spent three years in Montreal studying English and Art History with a self-taught voluntary elective in French Canadian cuisine. She’s recently found herself back in Nueva York learning how to cycle on the “right” (or is it the left?) side of the road.

She has travelled to too many places to count – mostly during seven years as Head of Hotel Partnerships on behalf of boutique hotel experts, Mr & Mrs Smith where she was responsible for bestowing the almighty curatorial thumbs-up or thumbs-down on potential Smith properties.

She currently advises on hospitality projects through her consultancy company, Marikotique. At the task she falls hopelessly in love with various wonderful people, places and things around the world while extracting and carefully stowing away insider info on the best places to eat, drink and be Mary.

For a relatively tiny person, she eats like banjo-toting Two Ton Tessie.
